			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The University of Memphis is hosting an Enhanced Threat and Risk Assessment Course on January 6-7, 2010. This course is free, and open to (but not limited to) those who have already completed the Office of Domestic Preparedness Threat and Risk Assessment Course. At a minimum we encourage all scheduled attendees to take the following online course:<br />

<p>Upon completion of this free course, a certificate will be sent to the participant to document the training hours. This “On-Line Course” is an excellent introduction to the WMD Threat and Risk Assessment course.</p>
<p>The UofM class enrollment is limited to 30 participants, on a first come first serve basis. The first day is classroom instruction and the second day has a field activity.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The next InfraGard Memphis Members Alliance chapter meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 8, from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM at the Shelby County Sheriff&#8217;s Office Operations Center, 994 S. Bellevue Blvd. </p>
<p><strong>Steve Rutledge</strong>, US Coast Guard, Memphis will give the intel brief.</p>
<p>Our guest speaker, Bryan Underwood, SSA, Memphis Division, FBI, will discuss the four subprograms covered by the FBI Civil Rights Investigative Programs: 1) Color of Law, 2) Hate Crimes, 3) Human Trafficking,and 4) FACE Act (Freedom of Access to Clinics) matters.  He will also provide pamphlets outlining the material.</p>
<p><strong>Bryan Underwood</strong> graduated from David Lipscomb University in Nashville in 1987 with a B.A. in Political Science.  He received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1990.  In July, 1990, he entered on duty with the FBI.  Since that time, he has served in the following FBI Field Divisions: Kansas City, St. Louis, and Memphis.  Bryan also served as a Supervisor at FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC, for three years.  As a case agent, Bryan has investigated drug crimes, interstate theft, fraud against the government, gang crimes, and public corruption.  One of the highlights of his career was the opportunity to assist in the investigation of the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City in 1995.  Bryan is currently assigned as a Supervisory Special Agent in the Memphis Division where he oversees all Civil Rights Investigations.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The next InfraGard Memphis Members Alliance chapter meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 8, from 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library on Poplar. Our guest speaker for this meeting will be Jeremy Baker, Special Agent, Memphis Field Office.</p>
<p><strong>Special Agent (SA) Jeremy Baker</strong> graduated from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK with a BS in accounting and a BA in Spanish in 2001 and worked as a financial statement auditor for Ernst + Young LLP in Tulsa and the Washington, DC area from 2001-2004. He entered on duty with the FBI in July 2004 and was assigned to the Memphis Division where he first investigated violent gangs, criminal enterprises and violent crime for approximately three years. SA Baker transferred to work public corruption matters where he remained for over one year. He then became the Acting Supervisory Special Agent of the Public Corruption and White Collar Crime Squad, where he served 3 months. Most recently, SA Baker became the Acting Supervisory Special Agent of his original squad, where he has been for seven months. He is fluent in Spanish and German and has his CPA and CFE licenses. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The next InfraGard Memphis Members Alliance chapter meeting will be held on Thursday, June 18, from 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM. Our guest speakers for this meeting will be Eric K. Jackson, FBI Supervisory Special Agent, Memphis Field Office.</p>
<p><strong>Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) Eric K. Jackson</strong> entered duty with the FBI in 1997.  After completing the FBI Academy, SSA Jackson was assigned to the Tampa Division where he conducted International Terrorism, Organized Crime, Drug, Violent Crime, and Health Care Investigations.</p>
<p>SSA Jackson was a member of the Tampa Hostage Negotiation Team, where he worked numerous high profile hostage standoffs and an overseas kidnapping.  In December 2002, SSA Jackson was transferred to the Domestic Terrorism Operations Unit, FBIHQ, as a SSA.  SSA Jackson was designated the Pacific Region Program Manager, as well as the Anarchist Program Manager.  SSA Jackson led the Animal Rights and Environmental Rights Terrorism Task Force, FBIHQ.  In his current position, SSA Jackson is the Joint Terrorism Task Force Supervisor, Memphis Field Office, with responsibility for International and Domestic Terrorism investigations.</p>
<p>Prior to joining the FBI, SSA Jackson spent almost 8 years in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman with numerous deployments with Marine Corps Units, aboard U.S. Navy Aircraft Carriers and Amphibious Assault Landing Ship and with an Electronic Warfare Squadron.  SSA Jackson holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology/Business Management from Dallas Baptist University, Dallas, TX, a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Amberton University, Garland, TX, is a recent graduate of the FBI&#8217;s Executive Development Institute and a June 2008 graduate of the George C. Marshall Center for European Studies&#8217; Program on Terrorism Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.</p>
